Founder’s Story

Amoun International School (AIS) Mr. Mohamed Abdulkader, the founder of Amoun Schools, is an Egyptian educator and school leader whose career in education spans more than five decades. Born in 1947, Mr. Abdulkader graduated in 1966 from the Faculty of Arts, Arabic Language Department, Suez Canal University in Ismailia.

Mr. Abdulkader began his professional journey as an Arabic language teacher in a governmental school, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to education and student development. His dedication and leadership abilities soon led him to administrative roles, and in 1974 he became a school principal in a private school. In 1988, he was appointed Director of the Suez Canal Authority School, where he gained extensive experience in educational leadership and institutional development. This experience later inspired him to establish his own educational institution.

In 1989, Mr. Abdulkader founded Amoun Private School in Ismailia. The school initially adopted the Egyptian National Curriculum, starting with an Arabic division and later expanding to include a Language Division. The school campus was established on five acres, making it one of the largest educational institutions in the region at the time.

Mr. Abdulkader introduced a distinctive academic structure designed to maintain strong academic standards and ensure student readiness for each educational stage. The school begins with six classes per grade in the primary stage (Grades 1–6), which are gradually reduced to four classes per grade in the preparatory stage (Grades 7–9) and finally two classes per grade in the secondary stage (Grades 10–12). This structure reflects a selective academic progression, encouraging students to maintain high levels of performance throughout their education.

As an Arabic language specialist deeply interested in Arabic literature, Islamic heritage, and oriental culture, Mr. Abdulkader devoted his life to promoting ethical values, cultural identity, and strong character development among his students. His vision has always been to graduate students who carry forward the values of integrity, responsibility, and cultural respect, serving as positive contributors to their communities and future generations.

Amoun Schools have long been recognized for their family-oriented educational environment. The institution is characterized by exceptional staff stability and loyalty. Many members of the educational team have served the school for decades, reflecting a culture of dedication and institutional commitment. This stability has played a major role in maintaining the school’s reputation and community trust.

Graduates of Amoun School continue to maintain strong connections with the institution, often returning many years after graduation with a deep sense of belonging and appreciation for the values they gained during their education.

Amoun School has preserved several traditions that reflect its identity and heritage. Notably, the school uniform has remained unchanged since the school’s founding more than 50 years ago, symbolizing continuity, stability, and respect for tradition.

Building upon decades of educational success, Amoun Schools are now expanding their vision through the establishment of Amoun International School (AIS). The new institution will offer British and American educational divisions, providing students with opportunities to develop the global competencies needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving international environment.

Amoun International School is scheduled to open in the 2026–2027 academic year, continuing the founder’s lifelong mission of providing high-quality education while preparing students to engage confidently with the modern world.
